Summer Camp

Music (guitar, piano, music recording and production)

1 week camp:

Guitar - Learning how to play 3 basic open chords (using 1 finger), strumming 3 simple songs and open string plucking exercises. Also, learning the basic information regarding the guitar and guitar playing techniques.

Piano - Learning how to play the scale of C major, sharp notes, chromatic scale, reading notes from a music sheet and 3 simple one-note melodies. Also, learning basic facts about the piano and piano playing techniques.

Music Recording and Production – Recording 3 songs with music and vocals, designing CD jacket and production.

2 week camp:

 Guitar- Same as 1 week camp plus: playing basic open chords using 2 fingers, 5 songs, and scale of C major.

Piano – Same as 1 week camp plus: playing 2 note intervals, recognizing pitch by ear, playing 5 one-note melodies.

Music Recording and Production – Recording 5 songs with music and vocals, designing CD jacket and production.

4 week camp:

Guitar – Same as 2 week camp plus: playing basic open chords using 3 fingers, 8 songs, scale of C minor.

Piano – Same as 2 week camp plus: scale of C minor, 3 note major chords, playing 8 melodies.

Music Recording and Production – Recording 8 songs with music and vocals, designing CD jacket and production.

8 week camp:

 Guitar – Same as 4 week camp plus: playing power chords, pentatonic scales, reading music, 10 songs.

Piano – Same as 4 week camp plus: pentatonic scales, 3 note minor chords, playing 10 melodies.

Music Recording and Production – Recording 10 songs with music and vocals, designing CD jacket and production.

*At the end of each camp there would be a performance of the students showing what they have learned to family and friends on our stage.
