Hip hop/ Jazz dance
1 week In this program the students will learn a short routine lasting no longer than
one minute. This routine will include a combination of standard Jazz and Hip hop step patterns blended together to achieve a short but dynamic dance.
It will include triple steps, 3 step turns, body waves or ripples, kicks, glides and others. The students will develop coordination and poise and definition of body movements. The class meets 1 hour a day for 5 days.
2 week
This program will add more step patterns and also end with a more challenging dance routine of no more than a minute. By the way, one minute
is a lot of dance steps. This class meets 1 hour a day for 10 days.
4 week This program introduces more challenging steps which will form a routine lasting no longer than 2 minutes and will be presented at the end of the dance sessions.
8 week In this program the class will work on a 2 minute routine which will develop them into very musical and coordinated dancers. You will be very proud of their efforts as you see them dancing on the dance floor performing their routine.
By the way, for any of you parents who may have concerns of the level of difficulty of these programs, none of this dancing includes any dangerous moves like spinning on backs or heads. It is safe dancing.
